Account Settings

Introduction

You can configure user and other account settings directly from your avatar. There are four submenus.

  • Account Settings

  • User Management

  • Help Center

  • Sign out


Account settings

Account Settings contains workspace-level configuration. To open Account Settings, click your avatar, then Account Settings.

Data exclusions

Use the Data Exclusions option to remove data assets from Foundational's lineage and analysis. The setting is global and applies to all users in your organization.

The Data Exclusions page shows the total number of configured exclusions and the count of excluded assets.

Add a data exclusion

  1. Click your avatar, then Account Settings.

  2. In the left pane, click Data Exclusions.

  3. Click + New Exclusion. An inline form opens below the page header.

  4. Use the dropdowns to define the scope of the exclusion:

    • Platform: Select the platform to exclude assets from

    • Database: Select the database

    • Schema (optional): Select a schema to narrow the exclusion

  5. Select the assets you want to exclude.

  6. Click Apply Exclusion.

Exclusions take effect after the next metadata scan, within approximately 24 hours. To cancel without saving, click Discard.

Delete a data exclusion

  1. Hover over the exclusion and click the Bin icon. A warning message displays.

  2. To delete the exclusion, click Confirm.


User management

The User Management page is your central hub for configuring access and ensuring data security. Click your avatar, then User Management to open it.

User Management includes:

  • Profile: Your personal account details, including email, name, username, phone number, and job title.

  • Privacy & Security: Authentication and account protection settings for your profile.

  • Users: All members in your workspace, including their roles, status, and access levels.

  • Security: Workspace-level authentication and authorization configurations (admins only).

  • SSO: Configuration for connecting your identity provider to Foundational (admins only).

  • Provisioning: Setup options for automated user account management (admins only).

  • Audit Logs: A detailed record of user actions, login events, and account changes across your workspace.

  • API Tokens: All existing tokens used for integrations or automation.

Sign out

Sign out ends your current session and returns you to the login screen.
